Trading in Vanguards: 2nd Anniversary lets eligible players exchange supported units and items, but the game does not publish a permanent official price list. A good trade therefore depends on three separate checks: whether both accounts can use the feature, whether the exact assets are tradable today, and whether the offered value makes sense for your own roster. Never treat a community value number as a guaranteed sale price.

Community references describe trading as a feature introduced in Update 9 with an account-level requirement commonly listed as level 50. They also report that only supported assets appear in the trade interface and that units can change state during transfer. Confirm all of these rules in the current in-game panel, because anniversary patches can revise eligibility, item pools, or transfer behavior.

Start with the live trading interface

Open the trading area or player interaction menu in the current server. If the control is locked, read the requirement shown there. Do not use a link, script, or third-party service that claims it can bypass the restriction. A legitimate exchange finishes inside Roblox and inside the game’s own confirmation flow.

Before accepting an invitation, clear enough inventory space for the incoming items and take a screenshot of the assets you plan to offer. For a valuable deal, record the other player’s Roblox username, not only their display name.

Trading requirements

The commonly documented level requirement is a starting point, not a substitute for the live panel. The system may also require tutorial completion, inventory capacity, an account setting, or a supported server version. Both players must satisfy the current rules.

If the trade button is missing, reconnect to a current public server, verify your account progress, and inspect the game’s announcements. Do not hand assets to an alleged middleman or pay someone to “unlock” trading.

What may be tradable

Community documentation reports that some limited units become tradable after they are no longer obtainable, while other units remain bound. Giftable or transferable items can include selected reroll resources, skins, familiars, or event materials, but eligibility varies by item and version. The only reliable test is whether the exact asset appears as selectable in the live trade window.

The interface should identify the offered asset by name and relevant attributes. Expand or inspect each entry. Similar icons, variants, shiny states, levels, familiars, or skins can represent materially different offers.

What can change during transfer

Community guides warn that a traded unit may keep some progression while losing or resetting other properties. Commonly reported behavior includes retaining level, ascension, and statistics while resetting traits and trait pity. Familiar behavior may have exceptions for Vanguard-class familiars. These are high-impact rules and must be verified in the final preview for the exact item.

Never value a unit as though an attached trait or pity will survive unless the trade panel explicitly confirms it. If the interface does not show the transfer state clearly, cancel and test with a low-value asset first.

How to estimate value

Value is a range produced by real offers, not one universal number. Compare recent completed or accepted trades when possible. Separate the following factors:

FactorWhy it mattersVerification method
AvailabilityLimited and unobtainable assets may have less supplyCurrent source and event panel
DemandPopular combat or collection use can raise interestMultiple recent offers
VariantShiny, skin, or special state may be distinctExact preview details
Transfer resetLost traits or pity reduce practical valueFinal trade warning
Update riskBalance or return events can move demandCurrent announcements
LiquidityA theoretical high value may be hard to tradeTime-to-trade observations

Use at least two independent community markets or discussions and prefer recent timestamps. Ignore a list that cannot explain its update date or methodology.

A safe trade procedure

  1. Agree on the exact asset names and quantities in text.
  2. Verify the other player’s Roblox username.
  3. Open only the in-game trade interface.
  4. Add your items and inspect every item the other player adds.
  5. Recheck the panel after any change; a swap should reset your mental approval.
  6. Read warnings about traits, pity, levels, familiars, and bound status.
  7. Compare both sides with your current value range.
  8. Use the game’s final confirmation and countdown without rushing.
  9. Capture the completed receipt or inventory state.

Cancel immediately if the other player pressures you to act before a timer, update, or supposed moderator intervention.

Scam patterns to avoid

  • “Trust trades” where you send an item first for a later payment.
  • Browser links that imitate Roblox login or inventory pages.
  • Display-name impersonation and nearly identical usernames.
  • Last-second swaps between similar unit variants or item quantities.
  • Fake screenshots of values, developer messages, or future buffs.
  • Cross-game currency offers, account sharing, or off-platform payment.
  • A middleman chosen by the person benefiting from the trade.

No value advantage is worth losing account control. Keep two-factor authentication enabled and never share a session cookie or one-time code.

Trading for progression versus collecting

A progression trade should improve a team you actually use. Price the incoming asset by the role it fills after transfer resets, then compare the cost with farming or summoning an alternative. A collection trade can justify scarcity or appearance value, but label that premium honestly; it may not convert back into combat power.

Keep a core roster outside the market. Trading every useful unit for one fashionable limited asset can leave the account unable to farm the next event.

When to wait

Wait when a major patch just released, an anniversary event can return an older source, or community prices vary wildly. Early update offers reflect uncertainty. The first public number is often less reliable than a few days of visible exchanges.

Also wait if you cannot verify the transfer state or if the item is absent from the live interface. An alleged future tradability date is not current tradability.

Trading checklist

  • Meet the requirement shown in game.
  • Confirm each exact asset is selectable.
  • Inspect transfer resets and retained progression.
  • Use recent evidence to build a value range.
  • Match usernames and recheck after every offer change.
  • Complete the exchange only inside the official interface.
  • Save the final result for dispute-free record keeping.

Trading should be a deliberate roster decision, not a reaction to urgency. The live panel determines what can move; current player evidence suggests a range; and your account goals decide whether the exchange is worthwhile.
