Anime Vanguards Update 15 Units

Track the Vanguards: 2nd Anniversary Update 15 unit roster, acquisition lanes, evolution status, team roles, and verification state.

Anime Vanguards Update 15 is the 2nd Anniversary release window. Current community coverage reports 19 new or newly obtainable unit entries, while the official anniversary video highlights the update and gives True Shadow Monarch its own segment. Treat 19 as the currently documented roster count, not a permanent promise: hotfixes, delayed releases, secret discoveries, and renamed forms can change what the live Codex shows.

Start with the live Update 15 roster

Open the in-game Codex and filter by the newest update, then compare the result with the active banners, event shops, Dungeon panels, quests, and evolution room. A unit belongs in your practical roster only when you can see its current source. An icon in the Codex may document a unit without proving that its banner or event is still open.

Confirm the form before investing

Update 15 discussion often shortens unit names or uses the anime character rather than the in-game spelling. Match the displayed form, not only the character. A base unit, evolved form, alternate form, Shiny copy, and serialized copy can share an identity while having different abilities, placement rules, and investment costs.

True Shadow Monarch is the clearest example. It is discussed as a major Update 15 unit, but it is also tied to Sanjin Wu’s progression rather than being interchangeable with every older Shadow Monarch form. Use the True Shadow Monarch guide before committing evolution materials.

Sort the roster by job

Do not turn a 19-entry release into a single damage ranking. Assign each verified unit a primary job: sustained damage, boss burst, wave clear, crowd control, buff, debuff, economy, or summon support. Then note its setup time, placement limit, range pattern, element, and whether it depends on a Familiar or Memoria.

A new damage dealer can be a poor first investment if its evolution route is longer than your current carry’s, its best passive requires another limited unit, or its cost delays the whole team. Conversely, an accessible support can improve several older carries immediately. The Unit Roles guide explains how to compare those jobs without forcing every unit into one tier.

Check acquisition before power

For each Update 15 entry, write the exact source shown by the live game. Banner units need a currency, pool, timer, and pity state. Dungeon or event units need the mode, act or floor, difficulty, and any displayed guarantee. Evolution units need the base form, quest, items, and confirmation screen. Shop units need the currency and reset condition.

This order prevents a common mistake: spending rerolls, stat chips, or Memoria resources on a showcase unit before confirming you can finish its evolution. Lock valuable copies and keep event currency unspent until you have read both the unit source and the exchange shop.

Build an Update 15 test team

Test one new unit at a time beside a stable farm unit, a known carry, and the supports you normally use. Run the same stage with the same modifiers and record placement timing, upgrade order, boss phase time, leak point, and total Yen pressure. If the unit summons helpers, record whether they inherit traits, buffs, Familiar effects, or Memoria effects rather than assuming they do.

Keep the first test practical. Perfect Monarch, ideal stat ranks, exclusive Familiars, and fully fused Memoria show a ceiling, not the value a normal account receives. Compare the build you can assemble now with the team it would replace.

What remains provisional

The official Roblox page confirms the experience identity and its summon, level, evolve, and multi-mode loop. The official anniversary video confirms the celebration and prominently features True Shadow Monarch. The 19-unit count and many individual rankings come from current third-party coverage and should be treated as Community reported until each entry is matched to the live Codex on your server.

Exact stats, rates, pity, availability, and best-in-slot claims need current in-game testing. A hotfix can change them without changing the unit name. Use October 21, 2026 as this page’s check date, then recheck whenever the Roblox experience update timestamp changes.

Update 15 unit FAQ

Are all 19 entries on one banner?

Do not assume that. Current coverage groups the anniversary additions together, but the live game may split sources across banners, modes, shops, secrets, and evolutions. Read the source field for each unit.

Should a new player chase the newest unit first?

Only when the acquisition and build are realistic. A stable farm unit, one evolved carry, and useful support coverage usually create more progress than an unfinished prestige unit.

Where should I rank these units?

Use the Unit Tier List for versioned role comparisons and Best Teams for complete lineups. Keep acquisition facts here in the Unit Dex.
